Registration of Players & Officials

Under BCA rules, regulations and guidelines, Registration of Players & Officials are required not later than 1 month prior to the commencement of the Championships, therefore registrations are required no later than 3 December, 2009. This will include the nomination of B2 & B3 players requiring a runner.
If your State/Territories is unable to provide an Umpire and/or Scorer, the organising committee need to know this ASAP so additional umpire's and/or scorers can be sourced and allocated.
States/Territories need to note that if NSW is requested to provide additional umpire's/scorers, this will be a cost to the State/Territory i.e. lunches, functions etc.

Sight Classification Certificates

Referring to the current official BCA Sight Classification Register (Word, 64KB) (PDF, 36KB), any players in your squads that are not listed in this register will require a WBCC Sight Classification Form to be completed and returned to the Tournament Director/BCA Chairman. States/Territories with players that do not have a current Sight Classification Certificate, these players will be excluded from the Championships.
A blank WBCC Sight Classification form (Word, 143KB) (PDF, 180KB) is available.

Black Out Glasses

States/Territories are reminded of the B1 blind cricket rule that was passed at the BCA AGM in February. This new rule requires that all B1 players will be required to wear Black Out Glass supplied and approved by BCA during all BCA sanctioned events, therefore this includes National Championships. Any B1 player not prepared to comply with this requirement should re-think their future commitments to national blind cricket. BCA is hoping to provide all States/Territories with sets of the new glasses very soon.
